Livguard 10KW Solar Panel Price in India

In this article, I am covering Livguard’s 10KW on-grid solar panel project to help you understand the pricing, components and power generation of a 10KW solar setup.

We’ve also covered customers’ feedback to understand their experience of installing Livguard’s solar panels, their performance, efficiency and how it affects the electricity bill. Let’s start.

Livguard 10KW On-Grid Solar Panel Setup

This Livguard 10kw on-grid solar panel setup is installed on a 100 sq yards roof in Gurgaon.

Solar Panels

The solar panels used in this project are Mono PERC solar panels by Livgaurd. Each panel is 400 watts and 25 such panels are used to create a solar setup of 10 KW

You get a manufacturer warranty of 12 years and a performance warranty of 25 years on these solar panels. Their life is more than 25 years.

These solar panels are BIS & ALMM approved.

Solar Structure

The solar structure can be made up of either hot dip galvanized iron, galvanized iron or mild steel.

In this project, a mild steel structure is used and it’s been painted and some civil work is done to provide the structure more stability.

It is a high-rise structure which means its height is 9-10 feet from the ground which allows the customer to use the roof.

A walkway has been made here to reach solar panels and clean them when needed.

Solar Inverter

The solar inverter used in this project is from the brand Livguard and it comes with an 8-year warranty. It has a Wi-Fi Dongle that supports wireless connectivity through the Livguard App which can be used to measure the performance of this system.

The display screen shows the daily units generated, the amount of power it is currently generating, and the total units generated since installation

This inverter is also BIS approved and the solar panels.

The power consumption of this inverter is nearly 1 watt and its efficiency is 97% which is quite good as the efficiency of most of the solar inverters ranges 93-98%.

This inverter’s voltage range is from 170-285v. Most devices fail in either condition when the voltage is too low or too high.

Wiring & Other Components

The wiring of these solar panels is arranged from the roof through a conduit pipe and connected to the Livgaurd On-grid solar inverter.

The wire first goes through the DCDB box which is a combination of SPD and fuses to handle the DC load surge, after that, it goes to the solar inverter.

The current that flows from the inverter is AC hence, from here onwards, the AC wire is used and moved to the ACDB box.

ACDB box is a combination of SPD and MCB, used to protect from the load coming from the main grid line.

Note: ACDB and DCDB boxes, are used for protection and safety measures.

In this solar setup, 3 types of earthing wires are used.

One earthing wire is connected to a lightning arrestor and another to solar panels, which manage any leakage of current and transfer it to the earth’s ground. 3rd earthing is done into the inverter to transfer any extra AC load to the ground.

The lighting arrestor is a copper rod installed higher than solar panels to keep the project safe from lighting.

When the lighting strikes from the sky, this lightning arrestor protects solar panels.

Note: The height of the lightning arrestor should be more than the solar panels.

Wiring should be done properly, this setup’s life expectancy goes beyond 25 years and you must make sure that its components should long last enough.

Use conduit pipes and proper casing to keep the wiring safe for a longer time.

This wire goes down and connects to a junction box which provides power to the house. Also, it is connected to the net meter with a grid connection.

This is what an on-grid solar setup looks like.

Customer’s Feedback About Livguard’s 10KW On-Grid Solar Panel Setup

The owner of this property is Mrs. Smita Singh.

Can you tell us about your background and the details of this house?

We are a joint family of 10 people living in this house of 2.5 floors. This is Huda sector and this house was built in 2003 when my father retired.

What kind of appliances do you use?

We have 10 ACs, 6 Geysers, 2x 500L+ Refrigerators, and 2x Water pumps. We also have an inverter with 4 batteries that provides power backup to 16 fans and 50 lights.

Can you tell us about your electricity bill?

We have paid electricity bills ranging from Rs 19k to Rs 80k. We paid 80k which was for 2 months, however, there was some mismanagement behind that much bill. The average bill we pay for each cycle is 30k which is because of big family requirements.

How did you get to know about solar energy and Livgaurd?

I heard it from friends, initially when Livguard launched the solar thing, so I contacted Livgaurd and their team came and did a survey and suggested we install the setup as per our needs.

When the Livguard’s team came, were there any specific conditions that you had?

Yes, We needed the roof space for walking and function arrangements. So they suggested that we install high high-rise solar structure and can use the roof. I think this looks very clean, that we have all the space plus the panels provide shading from the sun, so it is like two in one.

When did this solar project was completed?

It was completed around 1.5 years ago.

How much difference have you seen in your electricity bill since its installation?

When we installed these panels first we didn’t get any bill, we got a bill once for Rs 3k and another time for Rs 12k, In total in the last 1.5 years we have got a bill of Rs 15k only. So it has saved us more than Rs 10k per month.

How much did this Livguard’s 10KW solar setup cost you?

It costed around Rs 4.5-5 Lakhs.

In how much period will you get your ROI?

This solar setup saves around Rs 1.25 lakh annually and it will recover all the charges in the next 4-5 years. After that, it will provide free electricity till the end of its life.

Are you completely satisfied with this product?

Yes, it is working perfectly as expected I have not gotten any error till now.

What about its maintenance?

We have not done any maintenance yet, its cleaning is done by rain, we have done nothing and it works perfectly.

Do you monitor the power generation of this 10KW solar panel setup?

Yes, I have installed the Liv Monitor 360 App. It shows everything from daily, and monthly to yearly power generation. I can even raise the request from the app when we need help.

What happens when the electricity cuts as the on-grid solar setup has no battery?

We have our old inverter with batteries that smoothly transitions during power cuts without letting us know.

Did you get any subsidy on this solar project?

No, we didn’t avail subsidy.

Project’s Performance in Livguard Liv Monitor 360 Solar App

This 10KW solar panel project is generating around 6-7 KW as of now. The weather is also cloudy and your total limit is 10 KW.

It shows the unit generated on a daily and monthly basis since the installation along with savings.

It has generated 16000 units, and it also has a graph on a yearly, monthly, and weekly basis which you can use to monitor.

It shows the environmental contribution that you have made to trees. You can monitor everything through the app.

Also, there is an option to raise the issue when you face any issue, and the team will reach you to help fix the issue ASAP.

Conclusion

This was the 10kw solar panel setup from Livgaurd. The cost-shared was last year’s cost and it depends on multiple factors like your location, state, city, etc.

I would suggest you use only a single brand to install the whole setup, so you won’t have to call multiple teams when you face an issue.

Livgaurd is a good 36-year-old brand and this solar setup was installed by a certified solar installer, who is responsible for proper installation of setup thereby increasing the life of the setup.

If you wish to find a certified locator from your area, you can go to Livgaurd’s website and search in the dealer-locator section, you will find a certified installer to install the setup.
